SERVICES FOR HOMEOWNERS

Water Scout offers a wide variety of irrigation services designed to provide homeowners and the managers of estate and commercial properties with reduced water bills and more control over the management of their irrigation water systems.

Each project is custom designed for the needs of the property owner and begins with a complete evaluation of the property and the current water management situation.

Site Evaluations

Do you have a major water issue that you are unsure how to resolve?

Perhaps you have an unexplained high water use issue that other professionals have not been able to resolve?

Or is your water bill much higher than you expected now that you have installed new landscaping or moved into your new home?

“Tom was instrumental in making critical changes to our new irrigation system so that we would be able to make the best use of our limited well production and reduce our reliance on the municipal supply. He monitors the Baseline controller remotely so that we are truly managing our landscape water use.” A.C. | Tiburon, California

If this sounds like you, please contact us so we can discuss your situation and decide if the Water Scout Site Evaluation is the next step to solving your problem.

If so, Tom will visit your property to see first hand what the issues are. He will then perform the site evaluation, sending you a zone-by-zone report of his findings and recommendations for improvement.

As a result, you will have a clear picture of the efficiency of your irrigation system and ways to improve it.

The Site Evaluations include:

  • A thorough on-site visual inspection of all components, including an analysis of the uniformity and functionality of each zone
  • When possible the gallons per minute (GPM) readings for each zone.
  • Written recommendations for how to improve the functioning of each zone, including, when appropriate, equipment upgrades.
  • Discussion with Tom Campbell to review the written Site Evaluation and weigh potential solutions.
  • Full cooperation with your current landscape professional, or if needed, referrals to another landscape professional.
  • After the Site Evaluation, one or more of the following Water Scout services may be recommended:

Is it time for your system to be upgraded to one that automatically adjusts water use based on the weather or in-ground soil moisture sensors?

Have you ever returned home after a trip to find your landscape suffering?

Perhaps the irrigation controller failed and your plants were stressed; and your maintenance crew came in days later to discover the problem,

Or there are brown spots on your lawn from irregular irrigation,

Or there are areas being flooded and no one on your maintenance crew knows what to do.

If so, the state-of-the-art systems we provide will:

  • Automatically adjust water output based on satellite weather readings and soil moisture sensors placed in the landscape.
  • Allow you to remotely monitor and adjust all on-site irrigation water.
  • Take moisture readings and adjust water output.
  • Report tank water levels.
  • Alert you to irregularities in water use

Installation includes training in remote water management software, or if you prefer you can hire us to do On-Going Remote Water Management.

As a result you will reduce water management surprises that impact your lifestyle and eliminate costly mistakes by untrained workers.

Remote Water Management Service

Now that you have upgraded your irrigation controller to a remarkable state-of-the-art water management system who will be responsible for maximizing its functionality?

Perhaps you have neither the interest nor the time to manage it.

It is possible that your landscape maintenance crew are lacking the time and skill set to manage the system for you.

The state and/or water agency will undoubtedly continue to impose water use restrictions that you now have to meet requiring you to make program changes.

The solution is to employ the Water Scout Remote Water Management Service. Using your new system’s capabilities we will monitor and make adjustments to programming as needed to meet regulations and the seasonal needs of your landscape.

As a result you can be sure that your landscape water use will be managed and the irrigation equipment optimized.

Remote Water Management Service includes:

  • Daily review of irrigation controller performance.
  • Reporting of all notifications so that leaks, failures, overages, etc. can be addressed
immediately.
  • Recording of daily water use so as not to exceed budget or tier parameters.
